2000 Hirakud Dam Displaced Families to get Homestead Land, Says CM

BHUBANESWAR/JHARSUGUDA: The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who launched distribution of Smart health cards in Jharsuguda, announced the allotment of homestead land to the 2000 families displaced during the construction of the Hirakud dam. This initiative will solve the long-standing problems of these families.

Jharsuguda became 12th districts of Odisha on Monday , which has been covered by Smart Health Cards. Further strengthening public healthcare , Chief Minister Patnaik  has launched the distribution of  Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana Smart Health Cards in Jharsuguda. CM  Patnaik also dedicated development projects worth ₹ 312 Crore in the district.

CM Patnaik inaugurated 14 projects worth Rs  144 Crore and laid foundation for 125 projects worth Rs  168 Crore. CM said that water supply projects worth ₹618 Cr, 4 mega lift irrigation projects worth Rs 186 Crore, and a 100-bed cardiac hospital worth Rs 102 Crore are under progress in the district.
