BHUBANESWAR:Two separate written complaints have been filed at the Bhubaneswar Cyber Police Station today against social activist Sandeep Singh and BJD leader Manmeth Rautraya, who made extremely distasteful, abusive, baseless and misleading comments on their respective social media platforms against the famous Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the popular Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi.
State Vice President Dr. Jatin Mohanty informed in this regard that Shri Sandeep Singh, who calls himself a social worker, has personally made false allegations against the country’s famous Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and posted them on his social media account “X”. This is a completely punishable offense.
Similarly, during the by-elections, BJD leader of Odisha, Shri Manmeth Rautaraiya, stood in Nuapada and publicly abused the famous Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the popular Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, using extremely rude and indecent words, and the video went viral, first on his own social media (Facebook) and then with the help of others. This is also a completely punishable offense.
Dr. Mahanty said that the BJP has demanded that both Mr. Sandeep Singh and Mr. Manmath Routray be arrested and punished under the Cyber Act for insulting the Prime Minister and Chief Minister of the country by misusing social media.
Senior leader Mr. Mahesh Mohanty, State Media Coordinator Mr. Sujit Kumar Das, Legal Cell State Coordinator Mr. Jayant Jena, Social Media State Coordinator Mr. Umakant Patnaik were prominently present in the delegation.
