1,925 Outside Returnees staying in Quarantines in Kendrapara so far

KENDRAPARA: As many as 1925 outside returnees have been so far housed in different quarantine centers across the Kendrapara district, said sources. Around 12,70,000 Odias work outside the State in different sectors. Similarly, 8,60,000 persons from outside the State work in Odisha.

“1925 people have returned from other states to kendrapara and are staying in panchayat quarantine centres as of now. Only pregnant women, lactating mothers, disabled people, and transgender are allowed home quarantine. Please inform here of anyone apart from the above category who has come recently from other states and is not staying in quarantine centres,” Kendrapara Collector Samartha Verma said.

As its founder Dr Manoj Nayak hails from this district, the SOA Deemed to be University had assisted the Government of Odisha in launching a hospital near Kendrapara in order to deal with Covid-19 cases. Earlier, the SOA had launched a 525-bed Covid Hospital in its campus in the state capital Bhubaneswar.
