BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: With new DGP SK Bansal at the helm of affairs, Odisha Police have made elaborate security measures for the 5-phases Panchayat Poll-Zilla Parishad Polls , voting for which, beginning on Wednesday.
The first phase of 3-tier PRI Elections in the State will be held on February 16 and people of different districts will cast their votes. State Police have made adequate security arrangement for free & fair Elections.
“235 platoons force, 1824 mobile patrolling parties along with District Police Officers/Men have been deployed all over the state for smooth conduct of Elections. 3357 no.s of sensitive and 19022 no.s of non-sensitive booths will go for poll during this 1st phase of elections. The election will be conducted with strict enforcement of State Election Commission guidelines and covid protocols,” Odisha DGP office said.
