PATNA: The Hon’ble Prime Minister of the country, Shri Narendra Modi, has given a grand and unforgettable look to the 150th anniversary of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ and launched the year-long commemoration festival. In this context, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan participated in the program organized in Patna along with Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and other senior leaders.

Shri Pradhan said, the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram” is a moment of national pride and cultural consciousness, which is rekindling the unwavering love for Mother India in the hearts of every Indian. This timeless composition by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee became a source of strength and unity during the freedom movement. Even today, it inspires us to show the path of nationalism and duty. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi, the country is moving ahead at a fast pace with the vision of “Developed India”. This sentiment of “Vande Mataram” has further strengthened our collective consciousness. This historic occasion calls upon us to resolve that national interest, national principles and national service will remain our top priority and we will play our important role in building a New India.

The year-long commemoration of the national anthem by the Prime Minister is not just a celebration, but an opportunity to once again recall that national consciousness. Our national anthem instilled indomitable courage, unity and self-respect among the people of India at every stage of the freedom struggle. The special commemorative stamp and postage stamp issued by the Prime Minister establish the immortal national anthem as an eternal symbol of the collective devotion of the nation. In addition, he has provided a lively platform for public participation through the website http://vandemataram150.in .

He further said, “This platform combines our cultural heritage with modern technology and gives it the form of a national mass movement. This innovative initiative gives every citizen an opportunity to be a part of this glorious tradition by singing ‘Vande Mataram’ in their own voice. This event will be considered a historic step towards keeping the inspiration of the National Anthem even stronger in the hearts of the coming generation. Shri Pradhan has called for collectively singing the full version of the National Anthem in this nationwide commemoration, igniting a flame of cultural self-awareness and inspiring the new generation.”
