BALASORE/SONEPUR: As many as 11 persons including few women were killed while dozen over got injured in 2 separate road mishaps in Odisha’s Balasore and Sonepur districts.
Sources said, at least 6 persons were killed and over 10 others suffered critical injuries after a private bus named Shantilata, met with an accident at Bidu Chhak on NH-16 under Soro police limits in Balasore district.
In another incident, at least 5 persons were killed and another 5 persons were injured in a road mishap in Sonepur.
The deceased persons of Sonepur were identified as Asish Pandia, Pramod Pandia, Siddhi Pandia, Trayambak Meher and Subham Pandia – all are from Nimna village under Ullunda Block in Sonepur district.However, identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained in Balasore case.CM Naveen Patnaik announces ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the kin of each who have lost their lives in the tragic bus mishap at Soro in Balasore district.
