CUTTACK: Shri M.K.Chhabra, Special DGP, SAP Odisha and Shri A.K Ray, Special DGP (Communication), on Monday flagged-off 106 Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) at parade ground OSAP 6th Battalion, Cuttack.
This will further strengthen the Emergency Response Support System. People of Odisha can avail help during any kind of emergency, just by dialling 112. People may dial only a single number 112 for emergency needs related to Police, fire, ambulance and other emergency in times of distress. Earlier a total of 151 (Four wheelers), 97 (Two wheelers) have been engaged for any kind of emergency services in ERSS.
Now with these additional 106 vehicles, ERSS would be more strengthened and more effective to respond in any kind of emergency– said Shri R.K.Sharma, Addl.DGP (Law and Order) and State Nodal Officer, ERSS. Shri Arun Kumar Sarangi, ADGP, Training and Director BPSPA, Bhubaneswar, Shri Vinayatosh Mishra,, ADGP-Cum- Director, SCRB, Bhubaneswar, Shri Y.K.Jethwa, , Director, Vigilance, Odisha, Cuttack,Shri Sanjib Panda, , Addl. DGP, CID, CB, , Shri S.K. Priyadarshi, , Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Shri Amitabh Thakur, , IGP (Operation), Shri S. Dev Datta Singh,, IGP (Hdqrs), Shri Yatindra Koyal, , IGP (Provisioning), Shri S. Praveen Kumar, IGP (Personnel) and other Senior Officers were present during the flag-off ceremony.
