CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: Shilpi Santosh Khuntia, from Cuttack, who is second wife of one Santosh Khuntia of Salipur, on Monday hanged herself before killing her step son, which sent shockwave in Cuttack City with police started looking into the incident that took place at Srirampur slum within Madhupatna police limits. Step son is 2 year old and identified as Sivan Khuntia. On Monday, Shilpi was found hanging while Shivan was found with his throat slit.
Police meanwhile has seized both the bodies for postmortem. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
As per reports, Shilpi was the second wife of Santosh Khuntia. Shivan was Santosh’s son from his first marriage. While Santosh was an engineer after completing his education at KIIT University in Bhubaneswar, Shilpi was account admin of Fastfix Automotive and earlier a lecturer at Satyasai Engineering College, Balasore having educated in civil engineering from Synergy Institute of Engineering and Technology as per their Facebook profile.
