BHUBAESWAR: Odisha Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (OMECL), a State Government PSU is reportedly eyeing on Sukinda Chromite & Guali Iron Ore Mines in Jajpur and Keonjhar districts respectively.
Sources said that the Steel and Mines Department of Odisha Government is in touch with Union Mines Ministry to reserve these two mines for OMECL.
Validity of both the Mineral Blocks is expiring on 31 March, 2020 and unless Union Government reserves it for State PSU, the Blocks will put to auction. Odisha Government had already cancel the first notification for mining auction and again on December 7, issued fresh notification for 20 mines.
