BHUBANESWAR: Ground breaking ceremony was held in Odisha on Saturday for as many as 26 industrial projects worth Rs 5,567.50 crore and will create employment opportunities for 9,168 people. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik performed groundbreaking-cum-inauguration ceremony
In his keynote address, the Chief Minister said, “This event is special as it coincides with our celebration of the 16th Entrepreneur’s Week starting March 5.”
He also stated, “Our State has seen unprecedented industrialization during the past 20 years. During this time, the State has attracted as many as 130 large industries with a combined capital investment of more than Rs 3.3 lakh crore and employment opportunity for over 2.25 lakh persons.”
He also expressed his happiness as Odisha has been continuously ranked as the country’s premier investment destination. Patnaik stated that, “The Single Window facility of IPICOL has recently received the National e-Governance Award. The inclusion of CRM facility being launched today will further improve the Ease of Doing Business in Odisha.”
“Odisha is known for its scenic beauties which provide a great opportunity for the film industry. The OFDC should promote these places,” he added.
“We had conducted the 8th phase of groundbreaking on 30th November 2019 exactly one year leading up to Make in Odisha Conclave 2020. We are today 267 days away from the event. I would like that all concerned Departments should work together towards making the event a grand success. I invite the global investor community to join us at the Conclave during November 30 to December 04, 2020 at Bhubaneswar,” Patnaik said.He added in his speech by congratulating all the companies and assuring them of the facilitation support from the state government.
