IMFA to curbing dust pollution through "Mist Cannon" in Mines"

JAJPUR/BHUBANESWAR: IMFA’s initiatives towards curbing Dust Pollution recently two nos of Mist Cannons are installed in their sukinda and mahagiri mines. The operation was inaugurated by Sanjeev Das, Sr Vice president & Head Mining Business Unit.

The operation started in presence of Sri Sudhanshu Pani, Sr GM and other employees. Spraying the fine mist help to minimize the dust and reduce the health risk and improve air quality in the mines working areas like dispatch yards and ore processing area. During the operation it needs  minimum of power and water supply. This is a new innovation in the Sukinda Chromite Valley.

In view of that IMFA’s initiative of installing two numbers of Mist Cannon in their Sukinda & Mahagiri Mines (Chromite) is well appreciated by all the employees and general public residing in around the mining area. It is also the talk of the valley that IMFA always takes the first step to invest or adopt in modern technology when it is related to employees’ health and safety.
