CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: The Cuttack Regional Transport Office has fined a minor with Rs 26,000 and issued a challan against him for not wearing helmet and not possessing drive licence while driving a Scotty activa.
Terming the incident as carelessness on part of parents sending their kids with scotty activa without DL-helmet, the Cuttack RTO forced to issue a challan of Rs 26,000 against him. RTO penalised him Rs 1000 under section 194(D) of MV Act for driving without helmet and Rs 25,000 under section 199A (2) of MV act as offence by juvenile totalling amount of Rs 26,000.
“ Here is the case to proof how careless are the parents to send the minors in Two Wheeler without DL and Helmet. They are not concerned for their safety. Today Challan issued for offences by juveniles under MV Act today with penalty of Rs26,000/-.
