3rd case of COVID-19 positive reported in Odisha, Stern action against Lock-down Violators

BHUBANESWAR: Despite several steps taken by Odisha Government, the State Health and Family Welfare Department on Thursday evening confirmed the third COVID-19 positive case in the State Capital Bhubaneswar.

With this new Coronavirus positive case, which has also been reported in Bhubaneswar, the infection toll in Odisha jumped to three on Thursday.

Taking the Twitter, the H&FW dept wrote: One more sample has tested positive for @COVID19 in the State. This makes the number of positive cases 3 and all are from Bhubaneswar.

As many as 404 cases have been registered in Odisha for different violations of regulations and guidelines related to COVID-19 during the last 48 hours.

Odisha governments Spokesman on COVID-19, Subroto Bagchi, informed this while addressing the regular press meet at Geeta Govinda Sadan here this evening.

Bagchi informed that out of 404 cases, 380 cases have been registered for violation of lockdown, 10 cases for violation of ‘Home Quarantine’ and 14 cases on other issues related to COVID-19.

“In response to the CM’s request, 10 lakh people have taken this pledge and 3 lakh people out of them have sent the video of pledge taking to the Hon’ble Chief Minister through Social Media. While extending thanks to these people, Hon’ble Chief Minister has also wished more people to take the pledge,” Bagchi added.
