KENDRAPARA/BHUBANESWAR: Lok Sabha MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda has reviewed various ongoing developmental projects under his MPLAD funds in Kendrapara Parliamentary segment. Panda reviewed the largest ongoing MPLAD funded project, the town’s first large auditorium with 1200 seats.

“The auditorium  rivals anything available in Bhubaneswar and has been a key demand of constituents wanting to see the town emerge as an urban centre. Also checked on the ongoing construction of our first railway line,” the powerful BJD MP twitted in social media Facebook. Regular visitors to this page will recall my relentless focus on this key infrastructure project, he reminded.

After decades of remaining on paper, I’m glad it got started on my watch. Sadly, there’s a bit of delay on account of the severe shortage of “murram,” which has affected almost all ongoing large projects in the state, he stated. “I have taken up the matter with the concerned environmental and other authorities. Later in the afternoon, I inaugurated the launch of a new e-commerce portal in Bhubaneswar, which promotes Indian handicrafts. It’s been well put together by a young Odia entrepreneur, assisted by his recruits and interns from XIM, IIM etc. I liked the items they have, which is directly sourced from craftsmen and will help their livelihoods”, he added.
