BJD gets 49.88 Percent Vote shares in Balasore till now

BHUBANESWAR: BJD vote share 49.88% and BJP 45.08% in Balasore so far. In Tirtol BJD 56.27%  and BJP 30.83%. Balasore AC is in Union minister Pratap Sarangi Parliamentray seat.

Till end of 5th round, BJD candidate Swarup Kumar Das is leading at Balasore by while at the end of 7thth round, the ruling party too leading in Tirtol in Jagatsinghpur as Bijay Shankar Das is heading for a comfortable win.

The ruling BJD has garnered 18,902 votes, BJP 15,741 and Congress 1670. Independent candidate Benu Mausa has secured 158 votes in Balaore.

After 7th round counting of votes, Das had garnered 25287 votes while his nearest rival BJP’s Rajkishore Behera got 14551 votes. Congress candidate Himanshu Bhusan Mallick remained at a distant third position with 3999 votes.

The bypoll was necessitated due to the demise of BJD leader and former Tirtol MLA Bishnu Charan Das while BJP’s Madam Datta’s demise created the vacancies in Balasore. Bijaya Shankar Das, Bishnu Charan’s son, was fielded by the BJD as its nominee for the bypoll while BJP fielded Datta’s Son Manas Datta in the battle.
